The role of the Governing Body is to set Queen’s Manor’s aims and objectives and agree, monitor and review policies, targets and procedures. It takes a strategic role, acting as a critical friend to the School and provides both challenge and support to school leaders to ensure that children are receiving the best opportunities and achieving the best outcomes.
The full Governing Body meets once per term. Ahead of these meetings, smaller sub committees meet to discuss the detail surrounding initiatives and to ensure the delivery of a high standard of education for all pupils in its care.
Governors have specific links within the school (a class and a subject) so that they are well informed and part of the school improvement cycle.
The Governing Body is currently comprised of four Co-opted Governors, three Parent Governors, one Local Authority Governor, one Staff Governor and the Headteacher.
Minutes of Full Governing Body (FGB) meetings and committee meetings are available on request from the Clerk of Governors via the school office.
