The role of the Governing Body is to set Queen’s Manor’s aims and objectives and agree, monitor and review policies, targets and procedures. It takes a strategic role, acting as a critical friend to the School and provides both challenge and support to school leaders to ensure that children are receiving the best opportunities and achieving the best outcomes.
The Governing Body meets once per term, prior to a full meeting of the Brightwells Trust Board. Governors have specific links within the school (a class and a subject) so that they are well informed and part of the school improvement cycle.
The Governing Body is currently comprised of five Co-opted Governors, two Parent Governors, one Staff Governor and the Headteacher. For details of Terms of Office, Committees, Declarations of Interests and Links please see Meet the Governors page here. Attendance figures are given for the previous academic year.
Minutes of Full Governing Body (FGB) meetings are available on request from the Clerk of Governors via the school office.
