Queen’s Manor benefits from a wonderful site comprising large conservation area with a pond (and resident toads), an allotment – resplendent with scarecrow, greenhouse and fruit trees – a small field and three playgrounds (all with mature trees and shrubs).
We are fortunate in being a little oasis in the centre of London, overlooking the River Thames and the London Wetland Centre.
Children enjoy daily opportunities to learn in the outdoor environment. Classes grow flowers, fruit, vegetables and herbs which are then harvested and used in the school’s kitchen and presented to the children at lunch time.
Friends of Queen’s Manor regularly use the allotment area for afternoon tea parties, fundraising events and celebrations and the field within the Key Stage One playground is central to the summer fair activities.
