QM had its very own Queen – and an official fly-past – for the Summer Garden Party in honour of Her Majesty.
Headteacher Sonja Harrison looked supremely in character as she took on the role of HRH Queen of The Manor, aided by the official Queen’s Birthday air display overhead.
The event, organised by Friends of Queen’s Manor, raised a spectacular £2,384 which will be used across the school.
Highlights of the hugely well-attended day included Mr Gingell’s Brazilian drummers, house band Bad Manors, a blistering Lip-synch karaoke battle between Kelly and Claire, Simran and Reet’s Bollywood dancing and the favourite annual fixture – boys v girls tug-of-war.
Mrs Harrison said: “We would like to pay huge thanks to Elaine and the FOQM team for all their planning and sorting, everyone who helped on the day and a special thanks to Carter Jonas estate agents for sponsoring the event.
“We are so proud that we have such an amazing group of volunteers who help to make QM the very special place it is.”
