The vast majority of children enjoy a school meal at lunchtime. Autograph Foodservice provide the meals and menus are sent out to parents at the start of each new term.
Meals include family favourites (e.g. roast dinner, lasagne, shepherd’s pie, fish fingers) and are nutritionally balanced by Autograph’s dietician and nutritionist.
Children are invited to trial new options and parents are invited into school to experience how lovely the schools meals are. Staff sit and eat with children to encourage them to try new food and to support the social aspect of sharing a meal.
There are themed days throughout the year and at these times children are part of the decision making process about what they think would be a suitable menu. For example, on International Day recently we had an intercontinental menu created by the school council and Autograph– it was both delicious and inventive!
Those entitled to free school meals should speak to the administration officer.
Alternatively, parents may choose to send in a packed lunch. However we have a strict policy on what children can and cannot bring to school so please check before choosing this option.
